Ways to Style a Satin Dress for Spring and Summer
I have a lovely satin slip dress that I wanted to style more ways for Spring and Summer. Here are some ideas done with white for ease of seeing and comparing the different options. Other colors could definitely go too.
The first one is a with a tight fitted top underneath. Also, the sleeves have a slight puff too, which adds some extra to the spaghetti straps from the satin dress. If I had a top with more puff sleeves, I think it would look even more grand.
Next, is one of my favorites as it surprised me the most. I didn’t think the satin slip dress would look good with a collared shirt but after trying it on, I was surprised. In addition, I am happy with the dress shirt look under the satin dress. I think this version I could wear to work as well. This is a lovely way to style a satin slip dress.
The next version is simple. Tossing under a pretty bralette. It’s great actually, for one, I don’t have to deal with a strapless bra and there’s no worry about the bra showing either. It’s so easy, what’s better than that?!
This is a casual version with a t-shirt over the satin slip dress. I opt for a shorter shirt that was actually a cropped pajama top. Since I am short the crop top is on a slightly longer side but a regular crop would work. Toss on a pair of white sneakers and now it is a more casual look for a casual day. Finally, another great way to style a satin slip dress.
Lastly, here is a version from a soon to be post on styling mesh tops (coming soon!). Here I am wearing a long sleeve mesh top underneath the satin slip dress.
